Places: New York City

Earlier this summer I visited NYC for the first time. I wandered aimlessly for two days, looking (I imagine) much like a kid who’s just entered the gates at Disneyland. It was overwhelming incredibly inspiring.

Truth be told, I was afraid of big cities for years—all those people, and noise, and texture. Cities are chaos; that chaos is now what captivates me. Everything here is in motion, but somehow there’s a rhythm to it all.

I now understand why some of my closest friends are migrating here. I’m excited to see how the city influences their creativity. And secretly daydreaming of joining them someday.
